Temp spots will expire March 2nd, 2008! I'm going to try not to be longwinded about this.

We've had trolls here for a while, and at first, my attitude toward it has been one of ambivalence. I am a strong supporter of the freedom of expression, as well as personal responsibility. It never seemed necessary to me to punish people unless they got out of hand and began creating a major distraction from the purpose of the boards. Otherwise, individuals could feel free to ignore them as they pleased.

Now things are getting out of hand, and I'm going to be tightening down. It's very unfortunate, but there you go.

The Kentucky Anthropomorphic Society will be hosting another roomshare for the Midwest FurFest (MFF) Convention in Chicago. If you are interested in signing up for this room share, please checkout the current topic we have created : HERE

Spots for this convention are going fast, as there is no available hotel space currently left in the main hotel. Thankfully we were able to obtain 2 rooms in the main hotel!

For those interested in getting some volunteer hours in and have a lot of fun, the Louisville Zoo is hosting there annual 'Worlds Largest Halloween Festival' for children under 12.  The Zoo needs many volunteers throughout the October month to help assist with running this event.  Anyone who attends is encouraged to wear a costume (albeit not scary!)

It was very nice to meet everyone yesterday at the Putt-putt meet. It was good to have new contacts established and renewed. Talk generated several possible ideas for future Louisville meets and options were included but not limited to:

First Friday Downtown Trolley Hop

FAT Friday Frankfort Ave Trolley Hop

Picnic/Frisbess Golf/Utlimate Frisbee at Iroquois Park [or other surrouding area parks]

Kart Country

Halloween Party [see Darktiger for more information on that]

Holiday Celebration Potluck [in the works, more details to come]

If anyone has any more ideas for things that we do locally, please toss them out. Suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

And again, it was great to meet everyone yesterday. And it feels good to know there are more local furries in the area then just our little posse.
